Think I got everything now from the store...except rolls, if I decide not to make homemade rolls....Did do the prep work for the veggies in the stuffing, cooked that part (Jimmy Dean sausage, celery, onions, and spices)...will add mushrooms and one diced apple on stuffing day...with two kinds of breads. I usually do a shrimp mouse mold with crackers for before, but this time, just will put out couple kinds of olives, and tapanade, with crackers.

Found lots of MacIntosh apples at Albertsons (QFC had only few as they are so fragile for saving) and will do apple and pumpkin pies tomorrow.

Oh, dang...have to go back to the store tomorrow...he likes turnips (yuk) so have to get a couple. Also will have cabbage salad and brussel sprouts...Will peel the potatoes tomorrow night, and cover with cold water... till we cook them.

What did I forget...? Oh, yes, I have to do the cranberries too...They are the easiest...After dinner tonight...may do them. Didn't know they kept that long! Perfect***

We'll have either 6 or 11....I think 11, but that group is in tough straits...SIL's Dad is dying, and is quite fragile right now....

It's one of the reasons I keep trying to remember all the things I'm thankful for....Life seems to be so short.

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!

***My plan is to take an arrangement for the podium at our meeting in a couple of weeks....Tall vase, filled with fresh cranberries, put a dozen white roses at the mouth, and tie with either a green or blue Christmas wired bow...

How easy can that be, eh?

Albertson's had the Bavarian Ham yesterday. Bot only a half pound, as I already have too much "snacky" things in the fridge. Funny thing, though. It didn't taste as good as I remembered it from last year. I think I'll have to buy a real ham and fix it myself next week. I can snack on that for weeks.
