i have no idea, nor do i care nor do i think it has anything
to do with her article.

i do believe that ms ambrose was ill advised to speak as
she did and I AM embarrassed that she was representing ME.

imho our new environment minister is not up for the task at hand

why is the truth, Ottawa under the Liberals did nothing to prepare for Kyoto a signal that the conservative minister is not up to the job? The Liberals cost us success with the Kyoto agreement, we are too far behind to catch up. Everyone in the world knows Canada made NO EFFORTS to keep the promises the Liberals made. So now you want the Conservative Minister to do what? Lie about it? Lie about the efforts of the Liberals? Lie about our ability to do something we have no chance of doing? I, too, am embarrassed, and concerned, Liberals and NDP are prattling on about Kyoto, neither one able to discuss how we might accomplish in short order, what the liberals didn't even attempt to accomplish in all their years in office.

It is never easy to admit that your country has had a government that signs accords it has no intention of completing. The Liberals had no interest in the Kyoto agreement. Their entire interest was in the publicity and looking good. Now it is too late and we desperately need enough room to negotiate some time to accomplish what we need to do. Would you once again rest our efforts on lies and false pretenses?

I have a question, What personal commitment have you made towards reducing green house gasses? Have you perhaps changed to compact fluorescent bulbs, or perhaps are you doing a lot of gardening so you can eat out of your own garden? have you converted part of your lawn to drought resistant plants that don't need as much mowing?

since you are embarrassed I am assuming you have been working to meet the goals of Kyoto. If not why be embarrassed, the whole country has been sitting on their smug hands saying "We believe in Kyoto. We don't do anything about it, but we believe in it." This isn't a problem Canadians can fix by doing nothing. Or by simply believing it can be fixed by some magick. It is going to take work, and if implemented immediately it means you are going to be darned cold in the winter, and hot in the summer. In other words there is no hope Canadians will vote for that.
