Hello jack, I think that the slide presentation on POM's site simplifies this a bit. I think this process is being used by other companies. Slides 37-64 shows this process. polymetmining.com It is Greek to me but mentions Chloride leaching, crushing grinding and flotation, pressure leaching, adding Chloride ion (a salt I think),electrowyning. POM costs seem comparable, if the process works, in comparison to costs listed on the MMG slide show and the costs listed by POM may be more inclusive of all costs: <Alternatively, using the by-product method whereby revenues from other metals are offset against costs of a primary metal, the five-year average cash cost of copper would be $0.06/lb or, if NorthMet were viewed as a nickel mine, nickel costs would be minus $1.46/lb. > <Life-of-mine operating costs per ton Mining cost per ton of rock mined $ 1.14 Processing cost per ton processed $ 6.99 Mining cost per ton of ore mined $ 3.13 General, admin. and other, per ton processed $ 0.66> MMG: <Extraction plant and refinery, by leach, solvent extraction and electrowinning.> <The test work confirmed that an oxide zinc concentrate with a zinc content of 30% can be produced at an overall concentrator zinc recovery of 80% The concentrate produced responds well to atmospheric leaching with dilute sulphuric acid and refinery leach extraction efficiency is above 98%. It seems to me by viewing the slide presentations that both operations have a complex extraction method. Seems like the slide shows say the POM method is used by several mines and the MMG method is used by Skorpion so both tested and used successfully.I think the 50 ton run is just on POM ore but the process is used in other mines? Pages 45-49 state companies that I believe are using a similar autoclave process to the one proposed by POM including one in the news PD. Anyhow jack I am not betting all my marbles on one horse. I like MMG and right now it is my largest position but I am betting on POM too and it is further along in the process than MMG and has one heck of a plant if the process works.
