We don't want a President who is beholding to any group.

Bush is a man of failure:
- Got a "C" in Harvard and he is proud of it.
- Failure to fulfill his duties in National Guards
- Failure with Harken's Energy
- Failure as President

In every instance he was rescued bu his father's inner circle. Bush got rich because the city built the stadium for his Texas Rangers, and he was rescued by oil men for his Harken investment. He owes favors left and right, and being used as a puppet. Cheney and other neocons pulled the strings and Bush's arrogance led him to believe that he is such macho, and accordingly side step any law that is in his path.
Let us not repeat this mistake.

When we choose our President, just remember whether he/she is beholding to any group so that he/she becomes a puppet on a string or is that person is independently strong to fence off special interest groups.

I can see that Gore is not easily influenced by any group. He maybe over dramatize himself (love story, internet), but he is his own man. He even distanced himself from Clinton during 2000 campaign (turned out a bad move), and Gore is independently wealthy.

How about other candidates?

Obama? His sheet is clean, he grew up in Indonesia as a child, called Barry by his friends in Jakarta, and as a kid he was generous already. Obama had some nice chocolates when he went to school, and always shared them with other students.
His school mates were wondering why he looked black when his mother was white and his father (stepfather) was brown.

Hillary Clinton? Fill in the blanks.
