Of course I have to panic!

You certainly do - about your Intel investment.

Speaking of social experiments...just exactly what is that you guys don't get about the $16 INTC call released yesterday...

Pretty transparent analysis given by these guys as to how they arrived at their INTC = $16 analysis, and rather than attack the assumptions of these analysts, the usual INTC tactic of attacking the messenger ensued...Social predictability in this social experiment.

Anyway, it's pretty obvious that the Dell turnaround is consistent with the timing of their new AMD offerings...

Hmmm...Wonder if the anticipated H1 INTC margin problem cited in yesterday's INTC = $16 analysis is a result of INTC taking a hit on margins in effort to compete with AMD ASP's now that the Dell monopolistic hold has been broken?

Oh yeah, I forgot...there was no monopolistic hold ;-)

Sarmad - You're sounding a little shrill. Agreed that Dell didn't explicitly say AMD helped them raise their financial performance, but you have to work just as hard and be just as supposedly "dishonest" as the "AMD fanboys" to say they didn't mean it that way.
Perhaps you ought to get a Federal grant and take your little "social experiment" elsewhere. Though, even in the land of "pork", I suspect you'd have problems getting funding.

It's starting already....

From IDC for Q3:

Intel gained x86 market share sequentially for the first time in 4 years and Intel-branded processors maintained 80.2% of all x86 server spending in the quarter.
