Of course you could be right. But, I think the most likely explanation is that companies usually, when they promise they'll do something, they high-light that they've done it.

The reason I was getting insistent over the falsehoods of the writer's headline is this. If the headline was true, then AMD stock price should jump $5 bucks at least. And as soon as the headlines hit, AMD stock rose in AH by 50c or 60c. Then obviously people read the content, and figured out that Dell did not attribute any of its good results to AMD. They just mentioned in passing, that yes, by the way, we made good on our promise to sell AMD processors. Which, you will notice was great for Dell stock. It is up 10% already.

The misleading aspect of you and CJ and Keith posting that is that you posted something that might prompt an already AMD-disposed person to buy the stock on false premises. Then sat idly even after it was pointed out to you that it is false. And the market today is telling you that your initial excitement was unjustified.
