in second thought, it appears that the reason we arent taught these things is because Alercians prefer to focus only on their achievements and not necessarily the process involved. the same holds true for today with extreme examples of Japan and Vietnam, being close partners with the SU, nevermind that we bombed both of them nearly into oblivion.
