Doesn't seem like a key detail that brings down all of what Hack wrote.

Either way, I considered Hack to be an authority on most of the matters he wrote about. But to the pick-n-choosers, when he talks about Iraq, we are reminded that Hack is the "most decorated Nam vet," but when he talks about Al Gore, he's just being a disgruntled dude.
