I think most Americans say that Mormonism may be a strange religion, but Mormons seem to behave themselves very well, so good for them. However the more you look into LDS, the weirder it gets - have you ever tried to read a chapter in the Book of Mormon? reads like a scifi knockoff of the King James Bible to me. I can understand why anybody who takes Christianity seriously would have serious heartburn over a Mormon candidate.

The LDS here in Utah really don't know about the bigotry outside Utah. Everytime I mention it, there's shocked disbelief.

One of my friends here is the son of a retired foreign service officer. He doesn't understand it. "They work with us so well in Washington". It's like Mormons are Jews.
