They are actually pretty likely. Geologic evidence indicates that it can happen on a human scale. Maybe even decades.

It's sort of shocking that you are arguing FOR climate change as opposed to a slight change in our behaviour. If you buy into the climate change argument, then the results are totally unpredictable, and could be catastrophic for the human race.
