Bush got outfoxed by everyone, from Bin Laden to Israel to Exxon to Iran. We don't know the details, but he made devil's deals with the big Oil companies and Saudis which led to 9-11 and $3.50 gasoline, along with the very ill-advised invasion of Iraq for which the nincompoop had no plan. Now he's really screwed the pooch. I'll always remember John Kerry on Hardball college tour in 2003, speaking to the war-eager Cadets at the Citadel. He said "why not be patient, wait 6 months and see what the inspectors find. In the meantime, plan to win the peace, to protect our troops and bring in more coalition partners. But even then only go to war because we HAVE to, not because Bush wants to.
