Policy options (according to the recent Pentagon Congressional testimony): 1) Go Big. (Seriously increase the US troop levels.) 2) Go Long. (Extend the period of US occupation in 'Iraq' for perhaps a 'generation' or so: 10 to 12 years at a min... perhaps 25 years at the outside). 3) Go. (Go home, with our Saddam-toppling mission accomplished and an elected government in Iraq... and leave Iraqi problems to the local Iraqis to sort out: self-determination.) Which of the three to you advise, GZ?
