That's the definition of 'precious' i recall from way back, mind you Dief was the chief and a dollar was a dollar back then ... in fact silver was not a dollar at points [early fifties? - memory fails] ... but nickel is over one usdollar now, isn't it ... hmmm 454g/lb avoirdupois, divide by 31.1 for ounces troy .... well let's say you want Ni exactly at usd1.00/oz, that would be 14.60/lb ... ? ... doing this with a two year old chasing a cat over my desk here ... but there seem to be roughly 14.6 ounces troy in a pound avoirdupois
