Baloney, American cars in the 70's were better built than the Jap crap. Do you see any 70 Datsuns still on the road? Heck the door handles peeled out of them just from opening the door. You still have plenty of 70's American cars around, because they were well built. Personally I always buy American cars because they are better. I've never owned a foreign car. But people bought Jap cars because they were cheaper and better mileage. They were not better built.
