Snapdragon moves Qualcomm out of the UMTS market. If that is where next years action takes place, having folks perceive them as a top line supplier will leave Nokia to dominate.

The UMTS market accelerates only as the GSM market becomes constrained. Qualcomm's HSPA solutions are an overkill. We will see all sorts of articles like the Register's over the coming year.

The GSM game continues with Nokia dominating with simpler, LoMarginal, UMTS solutions for the mass market.
