Only an idiot would believe Oswald, Sirhan and Ray carried out those assassinations all by themselves. None of them were skilled assassins. None of them had a motive. All of their cases showed clear signs of conspiracies, cover-ups, rushes to judgement and whitewashings, plus probable brainwashing and setting them up as patsies. In short, all three were highly improbably in terms of acting alone. In fact almost impossible.

The only one man with the power, means and motive to carry these killings out was J. Edgar Hoover, with help from the CIA far rightwing and the mob in the case of JFK.

Let me tell you, friend, if Bush were killed today and some scatter-brained lone nut with a cheap gun and little or no sniper or firearms training was immediately blamed without an investigation there would be a huge uproar amongst Republicans.
But today's rightwing seems desperate to coverup and blame the lone nuts and communists, anyone but themselves.

Also, the fact is, we democrats and progressives don't believe in assassinating people we disagree with, or only in very rare situations. But the far right does. You talk to any far rightwing paramilitary type and you'll hear him lust for blood. Hell, Pat Robertson recently called for an assassination of Huge Chavez. Anne Coulter jokes about assassinating Clinton. etc.

We may never know who really had Kennedy killed, or who the exact triggermen were. Those who might have known are probably all dead and took their secrets to their graves. But there has never been a real investigation and presidential assassinations don't usually happen because some lame-ass nut wants to make a statement, they happen because huge amounts of money and influence are at stake. And JFK, RFK and ML King all wanted to change the country, to take the power away from the far right, Hoover, the military-industrial elite and the war profiteers. So to the far right, they were seen as traitors and commies.

My basis for disbelieving the lone nut theories is common sense. In all three cases there were obvious cover-ups and threats against anyone who challenged the official story.
Those who felt threatened were amongst the most dangerious and secretly powerful individuals in the country, including: J Edgar Hoover, the Mob, the CIA rightwingers (including Cubans) who plotted many coup d'etats and assassinations around the world, LBJ, Nixon and certain very rich rightwing powerbrokers. So I believe that some combination of these were the only ones who had the will, the motive, the power, the means, the control and the ruthlessness to carry out such killings, then cover them up and hoodwink everyone from the press to the Warren Commission.

One place most of all connects these suspects; Cuba. The US industrialists and crime bosses largely controlled pre-revolution Cuba, and they loved the place. It was their center of vice and power where they could operate outside US laws. And those wealthy Cubans who lost everything to Castro were extremely angry and extremely ruthless about getting revenge. The same types, whether Cubans or not, you can see running black ops through the Vietnam era, then down in Central America, the Middle East and other places where America's rightwing focused its imperialist eyes. And in those peoples' minds, nothing is out of bounds when it comes to erasing obstacles in front of them, including and especially killing.

Of course we can't know all the facts, but we can connect the dots. Oliver Stone did this in his film JFK using facts and only one fictional character. The whole FBI, CIA, Mob, Texas oil cartel, Bay Of Pigs, Operation Mongoose, MK ULTRA, push for more war in Vietnam, etc. was all true. Yes indeed, they were conspiracy experts and their conspiracies were real and deadly.

And remember in Vietnam, once the CIA took over assassination became the name of the game, the Phoenix Program, just like the death squads in many other 3rd world operations, extreme prejudice. After they knocked off the first South Vietnamese president.

In other words, once Kennedy crossed Hoover, the Mob, McCarthyists, the rightwing Cubans and challenged the wisdom of a wider war in Vietnam, he was a tempting target, as was his brother. Especially since LBJ played ball with all those forces and was secretly a very corrupt man not afraid of using deadly force.

ML King was both different and the same. He was a threat to their agenda, and Hoover in particular wanted King wiped out.

So isn't it a coincidence that three lone nut amateurs were blamed, three men without apparent motive who either couldn't remember or didn't get to tell their stories. In fact, Oswald, Ray and Sirhan showed clear signs of being brainwashed. In other words, they were likely patsies. And the real pros wioth the motives were never investigated, partly because they controlled the investigations.
