That sounds wonderful as well! Just kick back and relax....Today, we went with son and d-i-l and his 2 kids, and went shopping mostly in a small town (Snohomish) up north, with all sorts of unusual shops...The Grandson doesn't like shopping, while the Granddaughter does (she's a girl and most girls I know have a good relationship with shopping, and she won't be any different than the other girls I know...<ggg>!

However, we told them that today was not about them....(both of them need a BIG lesson in this aspect of Christmas, IMO and in their Grandpy's as well) We all wanted them to think of the others who they want to get things for, some of it with their own money.....Grandson still doesn't really WANT to get it.... Granddaughter got it right away, and still was able to tell me things she liked as well....Smart little girl.

Grandson is way into everything expensive...loves snowboarding, all the roller coasters in the US that he can get the other grandparents to take him to, anything to do with video games and electronic gadgets, etc..... SO, he saw a pretty pink snowboard, and said "Paige would love this one..." I told him that he'd better check the price, and that he had to pay for half of what he bought with his own money...The dang thing was $299, but turns out was on sale for $149 for 2 days only, and even then he had the grace to blanch when he considered the price.... He had NO idea of how expensive the things are, and we feel it's about time he gets a clue. He is 13, and no better time to start than now....
