As a matter of fact, English was my favorite class. I'm still somewhat of a grammarian. I choke when I see people writing "then" when they mean "than". Or "loose" when they mean "lose". Or "alot" when they mean "a lot". I could go on, but you get my drift.

My high school English teacher really impressed me. She would often say something like "People use poor grammar or incorrect pronunciation because they simply don't care enough to get it right.". I've always believed that.

Now, I've probably offended half a dozen folks here. ggg
