I agree with you. Kind of crazy. It's one reason why I think we should go to a direct vote, instead of the electoral vote we have today. Maybe a popular vote would help us avoid these types of problems in the future. There is nothing I would like more than to get rid of the electoral college. The biggest problem I see with our system is that the candidate with the most money is the one that gets elected. That's why Bush got elected. He had all the major lobbyists in his pocket. The oil lobby and the Evangelicals put Bush in office and they kept him there. It really bothers me that money is so key.
