Toyotas are made in America by American workers earning wages that are comparable to union wages. Do you think that Toyota would be paying their non union workers union wages if it was not for the UAW?

Personally I wouldn't own one because I don't fit into those small cars and they are not union built.

Non-union products are usually not good quality. And they almost always ship good US jobs to the Orient or third world. Unions are also very important as a force which can partly stand up to the big corporate boss lobby. Those are the scoundrels we really have to watch out for, not the unions.

If we had national health care then unions wouldn't be as necessary, but we definitely need much more affordable health care. Corporate greed not unions are to blame the for the current high cost. And if you de-unionize the nurse who watches over you after your next bad accident, you may die.

Big Oil alone just stole about 750 billion from us since 2001. When has a union ever cost us even 75 million?

And did unions get us into Iraq? No, war profiteering companies did though, in part. Halliburton has probably cost this country 20 billion dollars. Think about it. Cheney really belongs in prison.
