>For some reason, a first for me, I don't feel like putting up a tree.

That's how I can tell I'm getting older. Bought a beautiful artificial tree last year. First thing our oldest daughter says (17). "Why don't we get a a real tree for next year, it will be my last year."

Boy could I tell you some Christmas tree stories over the years.

Most all good, and a bad one. The bad one, I have to laugh at my self now.

Boy, Sarkie...I feel the same way too this year. Maybe it is catching. Only one of our adult kids is able to home this year, and if I had my way, we'd go to Williamsburg for the time...We've always had a real tree, but if we do stay here, I think a fake, already lighted one would be just fine.

The major cleanup from Turkey day will probably take the better part of a week or more...just lots of extra cupboards to be cleaned, and cabinets that needed it anyway, ironing, windows, vacuming in corners, etc etc. Hummmmm...maybe the better part of 3 weeks...<ggg?

No tree for me, either. But, that's not new around here. Living alone, and not expecting visitors, I put some candles in the front window, hang a wreath and I'm done with decorating. That's not what Christmas is all about anyway.

My Black Friday dinner was several bowls of Lima Beans and ham soup. Crock pot all day and it was delicious. No left over turkey around here, although I love that stuff. Ate out on turkey day.
