He loves it because it indicates that AMD has processors that can be affected by it. Meaning processors with greater than 14 cores.

I know!, MULTIprocessor SYSTEMS. But that's a minor detail.

no. maybe I made it a bigger deal thank it was worth but the point was that I remember the days when people thought AMD could never get an SMP x86 to work, didn't have any credible notebook or server chip, it was a puny x86 desktop cpu company which was completely at the whim of intel in terms of isa, pricing etc. times have changed; now it can compete in all three x86 domains credibly and add value to system architecture. granted cmw is a nice architecture but i think it's wrong to assume that things are back to normal and dell either has made a mistake or will drop amd like a hot potato soon etc. i don't think this new world order so to speak has been factored in yet.
