Ralph I dislike militarism and don't care who is who. If they kill innocent people I have nothing but disdain for them

I think the problem ralph is that your rhetoric belies that statement completely. You lump all Americans together. I know that's what I find irritating about many of your posts. Yeah I know they elected Mr. Bush.. Well we elected Mr. Harper.. and worse up here even 40% of the popular vote is typically a sweeping majority.. That makes us all neocons I guess.. Hey!! ralph you must be a neocon too :O)

Why do we not hear you decry the suicide bombings targeting civilians in Iraq.. What about the Pushtuns in Afghanistan... the entire culture is a clannish militarism where they do not shoot virtual people with virtual guns in between smacking their women into line.. They are more like the real thing... (but yeah they do not let other men rape them.... so kind of them and Eric below (smart as he is) has got the drug issue all wrong of course.. Taliban are now sponsoring it)..

Here's Eric... that pro Bush rightwingnut ;o)
ericmargolis.com
Today, women in post-Taliban Afghanistan are just as repressed as they were under Taliban, save for a few schools in Kabul. Women are equally repressed in Pakistan, India, and Saudi Arabia. Many Afghans share Taliban’s social views, if not politics. The Uzbeks in the north – now US and Canadian allies - are in even more vicious and brutal than Taliban, and up to their turbans in drug dealing. The US and NATO are running a nation that supplies 80-90% of the world’s heroin. BUT Eric how can that be ? the Taliban control most of Kandahar, a major opium region..

From the Asia Times.. atimes.com
Synopsis.. ... Taliban eradicated opium... BUT somehow farmers could feed their families .. now farmers grow opium poppies to feed their families.. Kabul government hitting opium production.. Taliban says hey we'll help you come on over.. ???

Anyway I know the story there .. we should just leave them alone.. besides it's not our problem and we can simply assuage our consciences with pastimes like animal rights.. those other people aww shucks.. just so much Soylent Green...

If only your reporting was fair and balanced ralph and you tried to stay away from sweeping generalisations... sigh...

Anyway they're all crazy... they've God on their side.. Now how's that for a sweeping generalisation :O)

Time to hang up the Christmas lights.. and then walk the doggies... and then skating.. and then ...

Al

Well Ralph, like I said you touched a nerve and I wanted to have my say and I did. Hopefully this does not blow up on the thread....

Just one thing that I am having a hard time understanding....if you think Bush was behind the airliners crashing into the twin towers, who do you figure shot Kennedy? Serious question.

I think Jackie did it....Marylyn singing happy birthday was just more than she could take.....
