You can't blame the current Iraq situation on the democrats.

It is the result of BAD POLICY. In my opinion it is a direct result of choices that left high unemployment in Iraq, for one.

You seem to be under the impression that if no one was speaking out that the Iraqis wouldn't have noticed that they were getting a raw deal. I disagree. I think almost anyone will realize when they are being taken advantage of.

"Hussein's statue being pulled down, Iraqis slapping its face with the bottom of their shoes (you understand that)"

I guess you must have missed where our own military and intelligence services admitted that whole episode was a staged propaganda op. It obviously sold YOU!

Now we know who were the idiots who bought the Bush propaganda the U.S. staged in Iraq.

If you (and Mr. Bush) didn't know that the Iraqis had systemic ethnic problems that certainly doesn't mean it wasn't well known by other people; it just means you were ignorant of it. Being ignorant isn't much of a defense or excuse, imo. Obviously you think it is one, but we'll have to disagree on that.
