Thanks for the link. The text of a link supplied there basically substantiates my point, mentioned above. I take it you are asserting the opposite--Iraq was sad to see Hussein go? If the pulling down of the statue does not accurately reflect of the mood of all but Hussein's devotees (which you are not), then we have a big problem. My point is the same. Slapping his face with a shoe is the ultimate insult in the ME. You remember when the USS Cole was bombed right? As the ship was leaving, crowds on shore took off their sandals and waved the bottom of the shoes at the ship. They were not waving good-bye, lol.
