The system is more all-encompassing and connected, not necessarily and most likely not better designed than all earlier systems of lesser scope and functionality. The systemic collapse, should it happen, ala space shuttle, or when it happens, ala all past financial accidents, will necessarily be small as well as BIG. When BIG, more likely than not, and certainly eventually, biblical. It just makes sense that such is true, intuitively, to all those who are philosophically scientific.
