No change whatsoever. If you don't understand you could ask instead of drawing incorrect conclusions.

Being an idealist I would love to say my standard was to expect moral righteousness of all politicians.

But I am a realist and thus set my minimum standard at the rule of law. I believe fully in full enforcement of the law as to what is allowed and what is not allowed in the behavior of politicians.

Exactly as I stated it originally.

What is it that you don't understand? Why do you say I changed my tune when it has been consistent all along?

Dishonest has a different meaning than illegal. We should not allow politicians to do illegal things. Even though politics is an inherently dishonest business.
