Let's see, before we entered Iraq, for the second time in a dozen years, all the ME--but especially Iraqis-- was holding hands singing "and I think to myself, what a wonderful world." There were no weapons issues, human rights issues, genocide there since the dems and UN cleaned all that up. I vaguely remember that now that you mention it. We can forego the long list of terrorist attacks pre-Iraqi invasion. How about all the violence Arab on Arab, and Iraeli throughout the ME and Muslim violence in Central Asia. Before that, Hussein was the terrorist and criminal, besides Iran, Syria, Libya, Hamas. If only we had that wonderful world back, with OBL having carte blanche to plan attacks. We should emply the Hussein diplomacy package around the world whenever an insurgency considers making itself known.

Were the "insurgents" doing any of this before the Bush neocons went in? ANSWER: NO!

Are you kidding? Yes. The death and destruction resulting from the 8 year Iran-Iraq war, the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, the sanctions on Iraq from '91-'00 and Saddam's killing of Iraqis far outnumbers what has gone on since Gulf War 2.
