I'm beginning to think the best USA exit strategy is to tell the current Shi'ite dominated Iraqi government: "Get your house in order in two or three months, and we will let you hang Saddam, or else, we form a new government with Saddam back in power with sufficient weapons to do the job for us, which do you want?"

Human Rights Watch estimates that 290K Iraqis were killed by Saddam's regime -- EVER!!.

That's interesting. Any idea how they came up with this figure? I mean, I doubt Saddam's regime provided a weekly number. Also, I imagine it excludes the number killed in the Iran-Iraq war.
