And, unfortunately, the young being innocent often do not learn from those years of experience. I am so greatful to have rushed home from school to stand by my 90 year old Great Grandfather as he sat in his rocking chair regaling me with his experiences that spanned two centuries. I learned so much from him. One of the predictions that he made was that the world would end in my lifetime------this was a little scary for me as a child to handle-----however remembering his words, anything is possible given the hate, the anger that exists in the world. Being innocent I could not understand the possibility of this. In retrospect, I can now understand his words. In my wildest imagination I could not imagine the cruelty that has been unleased by the terrorists. His philosophy did not include beheading people, burying them in mass graves, carbombs, flying into buildings on suicide missions. He taught me to make the most of each moment------a philosophy I attempt to live by. I feel so fortunate and blessed to have known him----- mj
