Oh, they'd still lap that up. They still love dedication to the State.

The real lump that wouldn't go down today is the "bear any burden, pay any price, endure any harship" part of his first inaugural.

JFK spent a year in the Bronx when he was a kid. Imagine if he had stayed....."Ax not what youse can do for ya country...."
