WWII was a conventional war. Iraq's conventional warfare stage lasted 3 weeks. Insurgencies aren't beaten in three years.

We have been involved in Bosnia for 13 years. And Korea for 57. But AP doesn't mention that. Wouldn't suit their propaganda.

AP says we have been involved in Iraq one day longer than in WWII

Which is comparing apples and oranges. WWII was a conventional war. Iraq's conventional warfare stage lasted 3 weeks. Insurgencies aren't beaten in three years.

Just how long was the US in Berlin and Germany? or japan?
Wait a minute you still have bases there. 61 years Since that war ended.

I am sure you can get out of iraq, before 70 years is over.
