"A month or so in Iraq?" Yep. And less people would be killed. A nice little touchstone to use in the future. The Republicans have really painted themselves into a corner. They pretty much have lost the ability to complain about something based on cost. The counter can always be "well, it is only XX number of days in Iraq and it won't cost XX number of American soldiers lives".... Which means the only hammer they have is moral issues. Which alienates them from much of the country. We really, really need a third party.
