AMD's 65nm dual-core Athlons to debut 5 December? Remedy for recent shortages, it's suggested AMD will ship its 65nm dual-core Athlon 64 X2 processors a week on Tuesday, it has been claimed. If correct, the 5 December debut apparently marks an acceleration of AMD's anticipated 65nm roll-out schedule...Four Brisbanes are expected at launch: the Athlon 64 X2 4000+, 4400+, 4800+ and 5000+, clocked at 2.1GHz, 2.3Ghz, 2.5GHz and 2.6GHz, respectively. They're all TDP-rated at 65W and contain 1MB of L2 cache. Q2 2007 is expected to see the arrival of further Brisbanes: the 65W, 2.7GHz 5200+ and the 76W, 2.8GHz 5400+, both with 512KB of L2 per core. Joining them will be three "energy efficient" Brisbanes: the 2GHz 3800+, the 2.1GHz 4000+ and the 2.2GHz 4200+. All three dual-core CPUs have two 512KB L2 caches and a 35W TDP.
