Does Peters—does anyone—actually think the French are about to expel or otherwise reject some six million people who are, in law if not in culture or outlook, Frenchmen? I wouldn't write off the possibility, even if it seems unlikely. Europe - certainly the European elites - have had their heads in the sand and have refused to even discuss the issue. But I do think that Europeans still believe in the superiority of their own cultures over the various Muslim cultures they have seen imported. If enough Frenchmen become convinced that they are about to lose France, I think you definitely will see a violent reaction.
