Kind of interesting that our environmentalists always point at the energy saving solution to cut our dependency on oil and reduce the pollution problems.

But the very same people never suggest a reduction in government headcount to reduce our problems with an unbalanced budget.

They only see one way, higher taxes to be paid by "the rich".

Rather than raise taxes on the very wealthy, how about downsizing the headcount of every government department by 20%? That would probably go a long way to balancing the budget.

That assumes the 20% you cut out are not doing anything of consequence. How do you know that's true?
