They will never be drafted because the chickenhawk regressives will end the war as soon as a draft is announced. There is no better way to end the war than to tell the flag-wavers that they will have to fight it!

Even if there is a draft, the progressives can be conscientious objectors. I know of the children of progressive anti-war folks who have already submitted essays to their schools against this stupid war.

How can you lose support you never had? The folks you describe know exactly where they stand on the matter.

The draft will undermine war support among those who support it now, but who won't fight nor even be inconvenienced for their "convictions". It is those who support the war NOW who will backtrack in sufficient numbers at the thought of their 20 year old offspring walking the streets of baghdad stalked by death or worse. And your'e worried about your miserable taxes...
