"It's all moot anyway....I have Pelosi/Reed and divided government(not to mention a newly found strong urge to apply for a CCW permit) to save me now. No worries."

Well, the Repubicans did such a great job when they held all the strings of power....I can't imagine that some oversight and actual debate about what the heck the real threat is, and what should be done will be a bad thing.

It's even started! Chuck Hagal and others actually talking about substantive elements of policy weaknesses and where to go. Republicans like Warner and Hagal and even McCain questioning the past four years efforts and direction. How refreshing.

Well... just don't *over-estimate* the appeal of warmed-over Theocratic 'solutions' in our world.

(It ain't gonna happen... unless one is talking about a very few, out-of-the-way, truly down-trodden and deprived areas of perennial misery --- where people are apt to grasp for any straw, no matter how ridiculous, every once in awhile... if they have LONG been denied.)

Marxism (even at during it's worst failures) always had more global political appeal then Theocracy is ever apt to again.
