Don, I couldn't agree more. My post was in reponse to Longinshort who said Germany never attacked the U.S. Of course, not true by any stretch of the imagination.

Hitler's decision to declare war on the U.S. (nor required by the treaty he had with Japan) made Churchill very, very happy. Virtually assured the U.S. would not engage only in a Pacific war, or that the Pacific would be the primary focus for us.
