I know, you want to dredge the past for Dem scandals and ignore the CURRENT Repugnican ones, but they really PALE compared to the Repugnican larceny. I mean, REALLY! Hundreds of billions! Halliburton alone has probably been provided more easy cash than the crooked Dems entire historical total! As for Alcee Hastings, I agree with you. I think Pelosi will let you right wingnuts "win" on that one, so, rest easy. Find some other "potential" fear to fret over.

"To me, the bigger scandal is the potential of Alcee Hastings becoming head of the Senate Intelligence Committee. " As time goes on, it starting to look less and less likely. I think they don't want a Mark Foley equivalent on their hands.

98% of the corruption has been on the GOP rightwing side. despite some black marks on various DEms records, there is no one in the league of Tom Delay, Abramoff and Duke Cunningham when it comes to corruption. And there are dozens of other rightwing Repubs connected to those two, including Rove.
