Personally, I like Kerry about the same as I like Bush..

I wouldn't want to hang out with either of them..

The White House spent two days right before the election 100% obsessing upon and lying about Kerry's botched joke. Tony Snow demanded Kerry "apologize" 16 times in 36 hours.

As a result, the media picked up the story and that scared some Dems, though Bush has made far worse gaffes, and no gaffe in history has ever become a longterm issue.

Kerry is stalled for now, but the 2008 election is almost two years away. The botched joke is a total nothing issue. And it ended up helping democrats not hurting them. By remkinding the public of Iraq, Iraq, Iraq which is Bush's fault. And Kerry is a war hero whle Bush has gotten 25,000 US troops killed or wounded.

That said, as usual Democrats are looking for a new standard bearer. They are dissatisfied with Hillary. If Gore or Obama run, they might take it. Edwards is a contender but lightweight in many ways. As Obama is inexperienced. Warner might have taken it but bowed out. So at this point, until Hillary, Obama and Gore declare their candidacies, and Kerry for that matter, who the F knows?

Maybe Joe Biden will become the flavor of the month. He's very qualified. Or Vilsack exites the middle American crowds. Bayh is running too I guess. So is Richardson. And notice no real liberals. All centrists. So Dems are strong in the middle.

Guiliani, McCain and Hillary, the frontrunners. And I don't think American really wants any of them. They are all tired compromise candidates for their parties. And all three supported the war. Guiliani and McCain still support it. And Guiliani used to have a gay roommate. Romney is a real panderer, though "perfect" looking.

The best GOP candidate is Hagel. That's your man. Even a war veteran. And he could win. Why doesn't the GOP get behind their last honest man?

Condi Rice finished #4 in your poll and she may be indicted for misleading the American public and gross dereliction of duty. She certainly is guilty of those crimes. She is at least guilty of resignation in disgrace. And forget her sex and color of her skin, that's irrelevant. She is a liar and a failure.

It's amazing when someone who tells the truth is less popular than those who outright lie and cost the US hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of US lives.

This will change hopefully.
