Not sure about the rates. A I understand it that was one thing Hydro Quebec did, make rates uniform across the province.. which will never please everyone.. I guess also Manitoba has lots of Hydro whereas Ontario hydro except for maybe Niagara is mostly smaller stuff (run of river) . We rely heavily on Nuclear and coal still. Nanticoke which the premier still wants to eventually shuts down is North America's biggest coal fired electricity plant. He has closed a couple already. Maybe we need to do a James Bay ? In southwestern Ontario LOL.. Premier is pushing more nuclear and NG whereas the power workers union wants to see clean coal technology... I think the union has a point.
