If liberal is one who runs up budget deficits then are you saying Bush is an ultra-liberal? Define liberal.

Progressives are where it's at, baby. We've got it right.

"Liberal" is an outdated word from the 60's or 70's. The rightwing invested 100 billion in propaganda monies to smear the term "liberal" so we agree, it doesn't apply.

So is "conservative" an outdated word, since not a single major Bushie leader is a true conservative. Nor have any of them ever served in combat. They are more like white collar criminal conmen. Same as many televangelists. A high percentage of charlatans and total hypocrites.

When I was growing up "conservative" was supposed to mean law-abiding, moral, wise and the first one to want to pay taxes or serve in the military to support the country. Just the opposite now.
