If a child takes his education seriously, then that child will develop his intelligence and can become more resourceful later on, this will ensure that individual a greater likelihood of better jobs, even a successful career, professional or otherwise... why do so many kids fritter their time away in school? How come their parents don't take their own children's education more seriously?

You can't eat the cake now and then expect to have it later, people earn higher incomes because they take themselves seriously and know that they are responsible for their own successes and failures... even in the worst ghettos in America, there are public schools where kids can take advantage of a free education in order to rise up and out of their immediate environment... the problem there is that they play "victim" and believe their political heroes who promise salvation but never deliver...

The highest incomes also have the highest tax burden... I don't see why I should have to give away my own hard earned money to someone who frittered away all his time when he also could have taken advantage of the same free education I had...
