LONDON (AP) -- Within the next 25 years, AIDS is set to join heart disease and stroke as the top three causes of death worldwide, according to a study published online Monday.

Nope; we will be in die-off from population overshoot, and good old fashioned starvation and dehydration is gonna be a bigger cause.

"We need a menu of strategies for real people," he said, adding that condom distribution as well as new methods, such as a vaccine, are needed.

Imo, a vaccine is our best hope..I was a recent graduate when HIV and AIDS came to our lives..in the pediatric setting(including young adults and teens)..I'm still amazed at how much unsafe sex goes on out there, here in the US alone..by folk who have the advanced education, the dough to buy condoms, knowledge of where to get protection for free..I sometimes think that those who don't protect themselves(and others) just don't respect their lives/future..no amount of teaching will help them until they change..
