Duh! I didn't say anything about liberals or progressives. And idiots like you that support Dumbyass admirers who believe the world was created 6000 or 10,000 years ago, are indeed regressives.

Democrats have grown beyond old style liberalism. In case you missed the 90's, we managed things in a very fiscally conservative manner, our military was strong, our enemies were engaged with, and capitalism and Wall Street zoomed. So what was so "liberal" about all that? This rightwing myth that "liberals" are in power and they are evil is just stupid. People like Hannity and Limbaugh have been creating this myth, while at the same time forsaking most of their own conservative principles, including being law-abiding, honest and ethical. Bush has grown goverment more than anyone in history and Bush-Delay's fiscal policy has been totally reckless. Our deficits are too the moon now, in case you hadn't noticed, and our foreign and military policies are in the toilet. Democrats these days call ourselves progressives or centrists. We deal with reality and use common sense. We are for moving forward not backward and making progress in dealing with the real issues that face our world, and we defy the old 60's and 70's labels. Most of us don't give a damn about gay marriage or how many guns people own. We just want things managed efficiently and fairly. We also want to wean ourselves off gasoline and pollution. We are all ears if Republicans have bright ideas, but we certainly don't want rightwing ideologues, televangelists or mega corporate interests to be in control. We just saw what happens when you let those people lead. Disaster. Instead of making up inaccurate crificisms about us, you ought to join us. After all, look how much better our country was run in the 90's compared to the last six years. No comparison.
