It's not a SLEEPING giant theory any longer.

i'm currently working on a tape-out for chartered 65nm and the chances seem very good that i'll be able to port this to 45nm and tape it out in q1'08 again.

If you are serious, and actually a real AMD employee, I doubt very much they want you to be posting insider information in public.

But since you are willing, what state is AMD's 45nm process in currently, and what makes you think "chances seem very good" that you'll be able to "port this to 45nm and tape it out in Q108 again". (Although that would put 45nm shipments in Q408, wouldn't it?)

And what's the deal with the K8L? Did A1 silicon actually function enough to demo? Will we see it at Analyst Day? Will it be running at known clock and power?
