I have no problem with trying...I wish what effort was expended could have been done with more competence. But we have the situation we are in now and we have decisions to make based on what exists now. Tolerance for putting young men and women I respect in the middle of someone else's civil war is low on my part, I agree. If the Iraqis will show more willingness to lead themselves, to step up and take control of their own situation, to rally around a national ideal rather than a local militia....then my tolerance might be greater. Time will tell.
