Jeff, I suspect the relevant post(s) were deleted.

She may not even have seen the check in question. If it was deposited directly into the trust account at the bank branch, then it would have entered the clearing system, which takes about 5 days. As it became the subject of a fraud then the local Windsor police may have been involved and then possibly the RCMP, who would probably have kept it as evidence. All this is speculation of course. I presume she'll tell us more if she chooses, when she returns, and I hope she will.
