I can't explain it, but there is something about her work that is very in tune with Right Brain theory, to me.

If anyone is interested, there is a fascinating book and technique that will teach nearly anyone how to do the shift from left to right side thinking.

Once you learn to do that...you can teach yourself to draw...much better than most could ever imagine. In a nutshell, your left side brain always tries to take over and forces you to draw with analytical symbols. (Stick men syndrome). Once you shift to the right side you are able to just draw what you actually see.

I've done it...and taken it a step further by learning how to paint. Its been a life changing book for me. I will never see the world the same again.

Anyway, when you learn to do the shift, it gives you a feeling, or a kind of a high. Akiane's art gives off the exact same feeling to me.

Take a look around the website. Its rather amazing with the case study examples ect.

If anyone is curious at all...I would highly recommend it.
